Example if your opening is 30" W x 40" H we recommend ordering your shutter 34" W x 44" H. Do not add overlap to the bottom if you have a window sill that your shutter will rest on.

  • Material - solid core Poly shutter material made from an advanced blend of thermoplastics and wood pulp providing the ultimate combination of insulation and durability. Guaranteed to last a lifetime.
  • The size entered will be the finished frame size of the shutter from outside frame edge to outside frame edge. Proper additions or subtractions must be made prior to entering sizes.
  • Overlap:
  • For outside mount shutters you need to add to your window opening size the proper overlap so the shutter goes past your window opening.
  • L-frame - Add 2" to all four sides.
  • 2" Decorative Frame - Add 2" to all four sides.
  • 3" Decorative Frame - Add 3" to all four sides.
  • If you are resting your shutter on top of a window sill do not add the overlap to the bottom.
  • If you have windows that tilt inward or window screens that are removed from the inside you may want to add an additional 1/2" per side for outside mount frames, inside mount is not recommended.

    My wife tasked me with a "Honey-Do" list that included "Buy Shutters". I had some local companies come and price me and the quotes were astronomical. I told my wife that the project was a no-go. Her disappointment prompted me to further my search and low and behold, I found this website. I secretly placed an order and had them delivered to my office. She went on a weekend getaway with our daughter and I got to work! The installation was painless, except when I stepped on a screw (don't work barefoot folks), and the price was well within my budget. Color Disclaimer

Due to the many variations in monitors and browsers, color samples may appear different on different monitors. Computer monitors are not all calibrated equally and color reproduction on the Internet is not precise. In most cases the samples on line will work for most people if it’s a white or off white, but dark colors and especially stained colors would be best to order a sample first. Note: Just because products have the same color name that does not mean they are the same exact color. Also don’t mistake the color name to be what you may think that color should be. Example, just because a color may have the name Pecan, does not mean it will necessarily look like what most people would consider to be a Pecan color. Please do not order using color names as your guide, always request a sample. Please order samples of all products you wish to consider purchasing to avoid any confusion and color mistakes.

Bamboo Shades Disclaimer: Bamboo products are especially prone to color variances and we cannot be responsible for dye lot variations. If you are choosing a natural wood such as bamboo, you must accept that no two bamboo pieces are alike and they will vary. Since our Bamboo Shades are made from real bamboo wood their color and pattern can vary a great deal from a sample to the actual shade that you order. The color can vary from a mild greenish tint to a more natural brown color. The sample should be used to only get an idea of the string/ladder placement and a general feel for the products pattern.
